- 1) Using EIZO monitor with Windows 95
- ============================================================================
- A monitor information file includes all the necessary information for
- using your EIZO monitor with Windows 95.
- Please select your EIZO monitor from the monitor list in Windows 95.
- The installation procedure is given below.

- Installation procedure
- To install the information file:
-
- (1) Start Windows 95.
- (2) Copy the downloaded files into the floppy disk.
- (3) Click the "Start" button, point to "Settings", and then click on
- "Control Panel".
- (4) Double-click the "Display" icon, select the "Settings" tab.
- (5) Click on "Change Display Type...".
- (or click on "Advanced...".)
- (6) Select "Change..." from "Monitor type".
- (or select "Monitor" tab and click on "Change...".)
- (7) Click "Have Disk..." in the Selected Device dialog box.
- (8) Insert the floppy disk containing the downloaded files into the floppy
- disk drive.
- (9) Select the floppy disk drive and select "Copy manufacturer files from:"
- and then click "OK".
- (10) Select the preferred monitor from the displayed "Models:" list.
- (11) Select "OK" and close the dialog box.
- (12) Restart Windows 95 to activate the setting.

- Once the above operation is completed, your EIZO monitor will be ready
- to use Windows 95.

- Monitor's Plug & Play Function
- EIZO monitors support VESA DDC1/DDC2B standards required for both
- Windows 95 and Plug & Play.
- The Plug & Play feature can be used if the following conditions are
- applicable.

- System Environment
- * IBM PC/AT compatible PC or graphics board that supports Windows 95
- and VESA DDC1/DDC2B.
- * EIZO signal cable (supplied with product).
- * EIZO monitor information disk for some systems.

- NOTE:
- When using some PCs or graphics boards which automatically recognize your
- monitor, there is no need to install the EIZO monitor information file for
- Plug & Play.

- 2) Using EIZO monitor with Windows 98
- ============================================================================
- A monitor information file includes all the necessary information for using
- your EIZO monitor with Windows 98.
- Please select your EIZO monitor from the monitor list in Windows 98.
- The installation procedure is given below.

- Installation procedure
- To install the information file:
-
- (1) Prepare the floppy disk containing the downloaded files.
- (2) Connect the display cable and start Windows 98.
- (3) Click the "Next" on "Add New Hardware Wizard" screen.
- (4) Select "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location,
- so you can select the drivers you want", and click "Next".
- (5) Click "Have Disk...".
- (6) Insert the floppy disk containing the downloaded files into the floppy
- disk drive.
- (7) Select the floppy disk drive and then click "OK".
- (8) Select the monitor name which you use, and click "Next".
- (9) Confirm the monitor name which you use, and click "Next" and "Finish".

- Once the above operation is completed, your EIZO monitor will be ready
- to use Windows 98.

- Monitor's Plug & Play Function
- EIZO monitors support VESA DDC1/DDC2B standards required
- for both Windows 98 and Plug & Play.
- The Plug & Play feature can be used if the following conditions are

- Windows 98 and VESA DDC1/DDC2B.
- * EIZO signal cable (supplied with product)

- 3) Using ICC Profile
- =============================================================================
- Monitor information for color settings includes all the necessary information
- for color management on the Windows 98 and application software which has
- ICC2.0 support function. Please select your EIZO monitor from the files
- and set as a default.
- The installation procedure is given below.

- Installation of the ICC profile
- (1) Click the "Start" button, point to "Settings",
- and then click on "Control panel".
- (2) Double-click the "Display" icon, select the "Settings" tab.
- (3) Click "Advanced" button.
- (4) Select "Color Management" tab. Select the proper monitor's profile
- from "Profiles currently associated with this device:" list.
- Click "Set as Default".
- (5) Click "Apply" and then "OK".
- (6) Click "OK" to close the "Display Properties".
