  7. 1) Using EIZO monitor with Windows 95
  8. ============================================================================
  9. A monitor information file includes all the necessary information for
  10. using your EIZO monitor with Windows 95.
  11. Please select your EIZO monitor from the monitor list in Windows 95. 
  12. The installation procedure is given below.

  14. Installation procedure
  15. To install the information file:
  16.  
  17. (1)  Start Windows 95.
  18. (2)  Copy the downloaded files into the floppy disk.
  19. (3)  Click the "Start" button, point to "Settings", and then click on 
  20.      "Control Panel".
  21. (4)  Double-click the "Display" icon, select the "Settings" tab.
  22. (5)  Click on "Change Display Type...".
  23.      (or click on "Advanced...".)
  24. (6)  Select "Change..." from "Monitor type".
  25.      (or select "Monitor" tab and click on "Change...".)
  26. (7)  Click "Have Disk..." in the Selected Device dialog box.
  27. (8)  Insert the floppy disk containing the downloaded files into the floppy
  28.      disk drive.
  29. (9)  Select the floppy disk drive and select "Copy manufacturer files from:"
  30.      and then click "OK".
  31. (10)  Select the preferred monitor from the displayed "Models:" list.
  32. (11) Select "OK" and close the dialog box.
  33. (12) Restart Windows 95 to activate the setting.

  35. Once the above operation is completed, your EIZO monitor will be ready 
  36. to use Windows 95.

  38.  Monitor's Plug & Play Function
  39.   EIZO monitors support VESA DDC1/DDC2B standards required for both 
  40.   Windows 95 and Plug & Play. 
  41.   The Plug & Play feature can be used if the following conditions are 
  42.   applicable.

  44.  System Environment
  45.   * IBM PC/AT compatible PC or graphics board that supports Windows 95 
  46.     and VESA DDC1/DDC2B.
  47.   * EIZO signal cable (supplied with product).
  48.   * EIZO monitor information disk for some systems.

  50. NOTE:
  51. When using some PCs or graphics boards which automatically recognize your 
  52. monitor, there is no need to install the EIZO monitor information file for 
  53. Plug & Play.

  56. 2) Using EIZO monitor with Windows 98 
  57. ============================================================================
  58. A monitor information file includes all the necessary information for using
  59. your EIZO monitor with Windows 98.
  60. Please select your EIZO monitor from the monitor list in Windows 98. 
  61. The installation procedure is given below.

  63. Installation procedure
  64. To install the information file:
  65.  
  66. (1) Prepare the floppy disk containing the downloaded files.
  67. (2) Connect the display cable and start Windows 98.
  68. (3) Click the "Next" on "Add New Hardware Wizard" screen.
  69. (4) Select "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, 
  70.     so you can select the drivers you want", and click "Next".
  71. (5) Click "Have Disk...".
  72. (6) Insert the floppy disk containing the downloaded files into the floppy
  73.     disk drive.
  74. (7) Select the floppy disk drive and then click "OK".
  75. (8) Select the monitor name which you use, and click "Next".
  76. (9) Confirm the monitor name which you use, and click "Next" and "Finish".

  78. Once the above operation is completed, your EIZO monitor will be ready 
  79. to use Windows 98.

  81.  Monitor's Plug & Play Function

  95. Monitor information for color settings includes all the necessary information
  96. for color management on the Windows 98 and application software which has
  97. ICC2.0 support function. Please select your EIZO monitor from the files 
  98. and set as a default. 
  99. The installation procedure is given below.

  101. Installation of the ICC profile
  102. (1) Click the "Start" button, point to "Settings",
  103.     and then click on "Control panel".
  104. (2) Double-click the "Display" icon, select the "Settings" tab.
  105. (3) Click "Advanced" button.
  106. (4) Select "Color Management" tab. Select the proper monitor's profile 
  107.     from "Profiles currently associated with this device:" list.  
  108.     Click "Set as Default".
  109. (5) Click "Apply" and then "OK".
  110. (6) Click "OK" to close the "Display Properties".
